Chapter 1

1:1Paul an Apostle of Jesus Christos by the will of Theos, to the Saints, who are at Ephesus, and to you faithful in Christos Jesus:
1:2Grace be with you,and peace from Theos our Father, and from the Kyrios Jesus Christos.
1:3Blessed be Theos, and the Father of our Kyrios Jesus Christos, who has blessed us with all spiritual blessing in heavenly things in Christos,
1:4As he has chosen us in him, before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy, and without blame before him in love:
1:5Who has predestined us, to be adopted through Jesus Christos in himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
1:6To the praise of the glory of his grace, with what he has made us freely accepted in his beloved,
1:7By whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of trespasses, according to his rich grace:
1:8By what he has been abound toward us in all wisdom and understanding,
1:9And has made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he had purposed in him,
1:10That in the dispensation of the fullness of the times, he might gather together in one all things, both which are in heaven, and which are in earth, even in Christos:
1:11In whom also we are chosen when we were predestined according to the purpose of him, which works all things after the counsel of his own will,
1:12That we, which first trusted in Christos, should be to the praise of his glory:
1:13In whom also you have trusted, after that you heard the word of truth, even the Gospel of your salvation, in which also after that you believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,
1:14Which is the earnest of our inheritance, for the redemption of that liberty purchased to the praise of his glory.
1:15Therefore also after that I heard of the faith, which you have in the Kyrios Jesus, and love toward all the Saints,
1:16I cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers,
1:17That the Theos of our Kyrios Jesus Christos, that Father of glory, might give to you the Spirit of wisdom, and revelation in the knowledge of him,
1:18That the eyes of your understanding may be lightened, that you may know what the hope is of his calling, and what the riches of his glorious inheritance is in the Saints,
1:19And what is the exceeding greatness of his power toward us, which believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
1:20Which he worked in Christos, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his right hand in the heavenly places,
1:21Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every Name, that is named, not in this world only, but also in that that is to come,
1:22And has made all things subject under his feet, and has given him over all things to be the head to the Church,
1:23Which is his body, even the fullness of him that fills all in all things.

Chapter 2

2:1And you has he quickened, that were dead in trespasses and sins,
2:2In which, in times past you walked, according to the course of this world, and after the prince that rules in the air, even the spirit, that now works in the children of disobedience,
2:3Among whom we also had our conduct in time past, in the lusts of our flesh, in fulfilling the will of the flesh, and of the mind, and were by nature the children of wrath, as well as others.
2:4But Theos who is rich in eleos, through his great love with what he loved us,
2:5Even when we were dead in trespasses, has quickened us together in Christos, by whose grace you are saved,
2:6And has raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christos Jesus,
2:7That he might show in the ages to come the exceeding riches of his grace, through his kindness toward us in Christos Jesus.
2:8For by grace are you saved through faith, and that not of yourselves:it is the gift of Theos,
2:9Not of works, lest any man should boast himself.
2:10For we are his workmanship created in Christos Jesus to good works, which Theos has ordained, that we should walk in them.
2:11Therefore remember that you being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, and called uncircumcision of them, which are called circumcision in the flesh, made with hands,
2:12That you were, I say, at that time without Christos, and were aliens from the common wealth of Israel, and were strangers from the covenants of promise, and had no hope, and were without God in the world.
2:13But now in Christos Jesus, you which once were far off, are made near by the blood of Christos.
2:14For he is our peace, which has made of both one,and has broken the stop of the partition wall,
2:15In abrogating through his flesh the hatred, that is, the Law of commandments which stands in ordinances,to make of two one new man in himself, so making peace,
2:16And that he might reconcile both to Theos in one body by his cross, and slay hatred by it,
2:17And came, and preached peace to you which were afar off,and to them that were near.
2:18For through him we both have an entrance to the Father by one Spirit.
2:19Now therefore you are no more strangers and foreigners:but citizens with the Saints, and of the household of Theos,
2:20And are built upon the foundation of the Apostles and Prophets, Jesus Christos himself being the chief cornerstone,
2:21In whom all the building coupled together, grows to a holy Temple in the Kyrios.
2:22In whom you also are built together to be the habitation of Theos by the Spirit.

Chapter 3

3:1For this cause, I Paul am the prisoner of Jesus Christos for the Gentiles,
3:2If you have heard of the dispensation of the grace of Theos, who is given me toward you,
3:3That is,that God by revelation has made known this mystery to me (as I wrote above in few words,
3:4By what when you read, you may know my understanding in the mystery of Christos)
3:5Which in other ages was not made known to the sons of men, as it is now revealed to his holy Apostles and Prophets by the Spirit,
3:6That the Gentiles should be heirs also, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christos by the Gospel,
3:7Of which I was made a minister by the gift of the grace of Theos given to me through the effectual working of his power.
3:8Even to me the least of all Saints is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christos,
3:9And to bring to light for all men what the fellowship of the mystery is, which from the beginning of the world has been hid in Theos, who has created all things by Jesus Christos,
3:10To the intent, that now to principalities and powers in heavenly places, might be known by the Church the manifold wisdom of Theos,
3:11According to the eternal purpose, which he worked in Christos Jesus our Kyrios:
3:12By whom we have boldness and entrance with confidence, by faith in him.
3:13Therefore I ask that you faint not at my tribulations for your sakes, which is your glory.
3:14For this cause I bow my knees to the Father of our Kyrios Jesus Christos,
3:15(Of whom is named the whole family in heaven and in earth)
3:16That he might grant you according to the riches of his glory, that you may be strengthened by His Spirit in the inner man,
3:17That Christos may dwell in your hearts by faith: that you, being rooted and grounded in love,
3:18May be able to comprehend with all Saints, what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height:
3:19And to know the love of Christos, who passes knowledge, that you may be filled with all fullness of Theos.
3:20To him therefore that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,
3:21Be praise in the Church by Christos Jesus, throughout all generations forever, Amen.

Chapter 4

4:1I therefore, being prisoner in the Kyrios, urge you that you walk worthy of the vocation to what you are called,
4:2With all humbleness of mind, and meekness, with long suffering, supporting one another through love,
4:3Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
4:4There is one body, and one Spirit, even as you are called in one hope of your vocation.
4:5There is one Kyrios, one Faith, one Baptism,
4:6One Theos and Father of all, which is above all,and through all,and in you all.
4:7But to every one of us is given grace, according to the measure of the gift of Christos.
4:8Therefore he says, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts to men.
4:9(Now, in that he ascended, what is it but that he had also descended first into the lowest parts of the earth?
4:10He that descended, is even the same that ascended, far above all heavens, that he might fill all things)
4:11He therefore gave some to be Apostles, and some Prophets, and some Evangelists, and some Pastors, and Teachers,
4:12For the repairing of the Saints, for the work of the ministry, and for the edification of the body of Christos,
4:13Till we all meet together (in the unity of faith and the knowledge of the Son of Theos) to a perfect man,and to the measure of the age of the fullness of Christos,
4:14That we no longer be children, wavering and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the deceit of men, and with craftiness, by what they lay in wait to deceive.
4:15But let us follow the truth in love, and in all things, grow up into him, which is the head, that is, Christos.
4:16By whom all the body being coupled and knit together by every joint, for the furniture of it (according to the effectual power, which is in the measure of every part) receives increase of the body, to the edifying of itself in love.
4:17This I say therefore and testify in the Kyrios, that you no longer walk as other Gentiles walk, in vanity of their mind,
4:18Having their understanding darkened, and being strangers from the life of Theos through the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardness of their heart:
4:19Which being past feeling, have given themselves to wantonness, to work all uncleanness, even with greediness.
4:20But you have not so learned Christos,
4:21If so be you have heard him,and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus,
4:22That is,that you cast off, concerning the conduct in time past, that old man, who is corrupt through the deceitful lusts,
4:23And be renewed in the spirit of your mind,
4:24And put on the new man, who after Theos is created to righteousness, and true holiness.
4:25Therefore cast off lying, and speak every man truth to his neighbor:for we are members one of another.
4:26Be angry, but sin not:let not the sun go down upon your wrath,
4:27Neither give place to Diabolos.
4:28Let him that stole, steal no more:but let him rather labor, and work with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needs.
4:29Let no corrupt edification proceed out of your mouths:but that which is good, to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace to the hearers.
4:30And grieve not the Holy Spirit of Theos, by whom you are sealed to the day of redemption.
4:31Let all bitterness, and anger, and wrath, crying, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all maliciousness.
4:32Be you courteous one to another, and tenderhearted, freely forgiving one another, even as Theos for Christos's sake, freely forgave you.

Chapter 5

5:1Be you therefore followers of Theos, as dear children,
5:2And walk in love, even as Christos has loved us,and has given himself for us, to be an offering and a sacrifice of a sweet-smelling savor to Theos.
5:3But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as it becomes Saints,
5:4Neither filthiness, neither foolish talking, neither jesting, which are things not comely, but rather giving of thanks.
5:5For this you know, that no whoremonger, neither unclean person, nor covetous person, which is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christos, and of Theos.
5:6Let no man deceive you with vain words:for, for such things comes the wrath of Theos upon the children of disobedience.
5:7Be not therefore companions with them.
5:8For you were once darkness, but are now light in the Kyrios:walk as children of light,
5:9(For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, and righteousness, and truth)
5:10Approving that which is pleasing to the Kyrios.
5:11And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but even reprove them rather.
5:12For it is shame even to speak of the things which are done of them in secret.
5:13But all things when they are reproved of the light, are manifest:for it is light that makes all things manifest.
5:14Therefore he says, Awake, you that sleep, and arise from the dead, and Christos shall give you light.
5:15Take heed therefore that you walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
5:16Redeeming the season:for the days are evil.
5:17Therefore, be you not unwise, but understand what the will of the Kyrios is.
5:18And be not drunk with wine, in which is excess: but be fulfilled with the Spirit,
5:19Speaking to yourselves in psalms, and hymns, and spiritual songs, singing, and making melody to the Kyrios in your hearts,
5:20Giving thanks always for all things to Theos even the Father, in the Name of our Kyrios Jesus Christos,
5:21Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of Theos.
5:22Wives, submit yourselves to your husbands, as to the Kyrios.
5:23For the husband is the wives head, even as Christos is the head of the Church, and the same is the savior of his body.
5:24Therefore as the Church is in subjection to Christos, even so let the wives be to their husbands in everything.
5:25Husbands, love your wives, even as Christos loved the Church, and gave himself for it,
5:26That he might sanctify it,and cleanse it by the washing of water through the word,
5:27That he might make it to himself a glorious Church, not having spot or wrinkle, or any such thing:but that it should be holy and without blame.
5:28So ought men to love their wives, as their own bodies:he that loves his wife, loves himself.
5:29For no man ever yet hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Kyrios does the Church.
5:30For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
5:31For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
5:32This is a great secret,but I speak concerning Christos,and concerning the Church.
5:33Therefore every one of you, do you so:let every one love his wife, even as himself, and let the wife see that she fear her husband.

Chapter 6

6:1Children, obey your parents in the Kyrios:for this is right.
6:2Honor your father and mother (which is the first commandment with promise)
6:3That it may be well with you,and that you may live long on earth.
6:4And you, fathers, provoke not your children to wrath:but bring them up in instruction and information of the Kyrios.
6:5Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters, according to the flesh, with fear and trembling in singleness of your hearts as to Christos,
6:6Not with service to the eye, as men-pleasers,but as the servants of Christos, doing the will of Theos from the psyche,
6:7With good will, serving the Kyrios, and not men.
6:8And know you that whatever good thing any man does, that same shall he receive of the Kyrios, whether he be bond or free.
6:9And you masters, do the same things to them, putting away threatening:and know that even your master also is in heaven, neither is there respect of person with him.
6:10Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Kyrios, and in the power of his might.
6:11Put on the whole armor of Theos, that you may be able to stand against the assaults of Diabolos.
6:12For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, and against the worldly governors, the princes of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness, which are in the high places.
6:13For this cause take to you the whole armor of Theos, that you may be able to resist in the evil day,and having finished all things, stand fast.
6:14Stand therefore, and your loins girded about with verity, and having on the breast plate of righteousness,
6:15And your feet shod with the preparation of the Gospel of peace.
6:16Above all, take the shield of faith, with which you may quench all the fiery darts of the wicked,
6:17And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of Theos.
6:18And pray always with all manner prayer and supplication in the Spirit:and watch thereto with all perseverance and supplication for all Saints,
6:19And for me,that utterance may be given to me,that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the Gospel,
6:20Of what I am the ambassador in bonds, that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
6:21But that you may also know my affairs, and what I do, Tychicus my dear brother and faithful minister in the Kyrios, shall make known to you all things,
6:22Whom I have sent to you for the same purpose, that you might know my affairs, and that he might comfort your hearts.
6:23Peace be with the brethren, and love with faith from Theos the Father, and from the Kyrios Jesus Christos.
6:24Grace be with all them which love our Kyrios Jesus Christos, to their immortality, Amen. Written from Rome to the Ephesians, and sent by Tychicus.
