Chapter 1

1:1Paul an Apostle of Jesus Christos, by the commandment of Theos our Savior, and of our Kyrios Jesus Christos our hope,
1:2To Timothy my natural son in the faith:Grace, eleos, and peace from Theos our Father, and from Christos Jesus our Kyrios.
1:3As I implored you to abide still in Ephesus, when I departed into Macedonia, so do,that you may warn some, that they teach none other doctrine,
1:4Neither that they give heed to fables and genealogies which are endless, which breed questions rather than godly edifying which is by faith.
1:5For the end of the commandment is love out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of sincere faith.
1:6From the which things some have erred, and have turned to empty talk.
1:7They would be doctors of the Law, and yet understand not what they speak, neither of what they affirm.
1:8And we know, that the Law is good, if a man use it lawfully,
1:9Knowing this, that the Law is not given to a righteous man,but to the lawless and disobedient, to the ungodly, and to sinners, to the unholy, and to the profane, to murderers of fathers and mothers, to manslayers,
1:10To whoremongers, to buggerers, to menstealers, to liars, to the perjurers, and if there be any other thing, that is contrary to wholesome doctrine,
1:11Which is according to the glorious Gospel of the blessed Theos, who is committed to me.
1:12Therefore I thank him, which has made me strong, that is, Christos Jesus our Kyrios:for he counted me faithful, and put me in his service:
1:13When before I was a blasphemer,and a persecutor,and an oppresser:but I was received to mercy:for I did it ignorantly through unbelief.
1:14But the grace of our Kyrios was exceeding abundant with faith and love, which is in Christos Jesus.
1:15This is a true saying, and by all means worthy to be received, that Christos Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief.
1:16Notwithstanding,for this cause was I received to mercy, that Jesus Christos should first show on me all long suffering to the example of them, which shall in time to come believe in him to eternal life.
1:17Now to the King everlasting, immortal, invisible, to Theos only wise, be honor and glory, forever, and ever, Amen.
1:18This commandment commit I to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies, which went before upon you, that you by them should fight a good fight,
1:19Having faith and a good conscience, which some have put away, and as concerning faith, have made shipwreck.
1:20Of whom is Hymenaeus, and Alexander, whom I have delivered to Satanas, that they might learn not to blaspheme.

Chapter 2

2:1I Exhort therefore, that first of all supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men,
2:2For Kings, and for all that are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and a peaceable life, in all godliness and honesty.
2:3For this is good and acceptable in the sight of Theos our Savior,
2:4Who will that all men shall be saved, and come to the knowledge of the truth.
2:5For there is one Theos, and one Mediator between Theos and man, who is the man Christos Jesus,
2:6Who gave himself a ransom for all men, to be that testimony in due time,
2:7To what I am ordained a preacher and an Apostle (I speak the truth in Christos, and lie not) even a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.
2:8I will therefore that the men pray, everywhere lifting up pure hands without wrath, or doubting.
2:9Likewise also the women, that they array themselves in comely apparel, with modesty and self-control, not with braided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly apparel,
2:10But (as becomes women that profess the fear of God) with good works.
2:11Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.
2:12I permit not a woman to teach, neither to usurp authority over the man,but to be in silence.
2:13For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
2:14And Adam was not deceived, but the woman was deceived, and was in the transgression.
2:15Notwithstanding, through bearing of children she shall be saved if they continue in faith, and love, and holiness with modesty.

Chapter 3

3:1This is a true saying, If any man desire the office of a Bishop, he desires a worthy work.
3:2A Bishop therefore must be unreprovable, the husband of one wife, watching, temperate, modest, hospitable, apt to teach,
3:3Not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre, but gentle, no fighter, not covetous,
3:4One that can rule his own house honestly, having children under obedience with all honesty.
3:5For if any cannot rule his own house, how shall he care for the Church of Theos?
3:6He may not be a young scholar, lest he being puffed up fall into the condemnation of Diabolos.
3:7He must also have good testimony, even of them which are without, lest he fall into rebuke, and the snare of Diabolos.
3:8Likewise must Deacons be grave, not double tongued, not given to much wine, neither to filthy lucre,
3:9Having the mystery of the faith in pure conscience.
3:10And let them first be proved:then let them minister, if they be found blameless.
3:11Likewise their wives must be honest, not evil speakers, but sober, and faithful in all things.
3:12Let the Deacons be the husbands of one wife, and such as can rule their children well, and their own households.
3:13For they that have ministered well, get themselves a good degree, and great liberty in the faith, which is in Christos Jesus.
3:14These things write I to you, trusting to come very shortly to you.
3:15But if I delay long, that you may yet know, how you ought to behave yourself in the house of Theos, who is the Church of the living Theos, the pillar and support of truth.
3:16And without controversy, great is the mystery of godliness, which is, Theos is manifested in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of Angels, preached to the Gentiles, believed on in the world, and received up in glory.

Chapter 4

4:1Now the Spirit speaks evidently, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, and shall give heed to spirits of error, and doctrines of demons,
4:2Which speak lies through hypocrisy, and have their conscience burned with a hot iron,
4:3Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats which Theos has created to be received with giving thanks of them which believe and know the truth.
4:4For every creature of Theos is good, and nothing ought to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving.
4:5For it is sanctified by the word of Theos, and prayer.
4:6If you put the brethren in remembrance of these things, you shall be a good minister of Jesus Christos, who have been nourished up in the words of faith, and of good doctrine, which you have continually followed.
4:7But cast away profane, and old wives fables, and exercise yourself to godliness.
4:8For bodily exercise profits little:but godliness is profitable to all things, which has the promise of the life present, and of that that is to come.
4:9This is a true saying, and by all means worthy to be received.
4:10For therefore we labor and are rebuked, because we trust in the living Theos, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those that believe.
4:11These things warn and teach.
4:12Let no man despise your youth, but be to them that believe, an example, in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, and in pureness.
4:13Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, and to doctrine.
4:14Despise not the gift that is in you, which was given you by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the company of the Eldership.
4:15These things exercise, and give yourself to them, that it may be seen how you profit among all men.
4:16Take heed to yourself, and to learning: continue in it: for in doing this you shall both save yourself, and them that hear you.
5:1Rebuke not an Elder, but exhort him as a father, and the younger men as brethren,
5:2The elder women as mothers, the younger as sisters, with all pureness.
5:3Honor widows, which are widows indeed.
5:4But if any widow have children or nephews, let them learn first to show godliness toward their own house, and to recompense their kindred:for that is an honest thing and acceptable before Theos.
5:5And she that is a widow indeed and left alone, trusts in Theos, and continues in supplications and prayers night and day.
5:6But she that lives in pleasure, is dead, while she lives.
5:7These things therefore warn them of,that they may be blameless.
5:8If there be any that provides not for his own,and namely for them of his household, he denies the faith, and is worse than an infidel.
5:9Let not a widow be taken into the number under three score year old, that has been the wife of one husband,
5:10And having testimony for good works: if she have nourished her children, if she have lodged the strangers, if she have washed the Saints feet, if she have ministered to them which were in adversity, if she were continually given to every good work.
5:11But refuse the younger widows:for when they have begun to grow wanton against Christos, they will marry,
5:12Having judgment, because they have broken the first faith.
5:13And likewise also being idle they learn to go about from house to house:yes, they are not only idle, but also prattlers and busybodies, speaking things which are not comely.
5:14I will therefore that the younger women marry, and bear children, and govern the house, and give none occasion to the adversary to speak evil.
5:15For certain are already turned back after Satanas.
5:16If any faithful man, or faithful woman have widows, let them minister to them, and let not the Church be charged, that there may be sufficient for them that are widows indeed.
5:17The Elders that rule well, let them be had in double honor, especially they who labor in the word and doctrine,
5:18For the Scripture says, You shall not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treads out the corn:and, The laborer is worthy of his wages.
5:19Against an Elder receive none accusation, but under two or three witnesses.
5:20Them that sin, rebuke openly, that the rest also may fear.
5:21I charge you before Theos and the Kyrios Jesus Christos, and the elect Angels, that you observe these things without preferring one to another, and do nothing by partiality.
5:22Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of other mens sins:keep yourself pure.
5:23Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for your stomach's sake, and your often infirmities.
5:24Some men's sins are open before hand, and go before to judgment:but some men's follow after.
5:25Likewise also the good works are manifest before hand, and they that are otherwise, cannot be hid.

Chapter 6

6:1Let as many servants as are under the yoke, count their masters worthy of all honor, that the Name of Theos, and his doctrine be not evil spoken of.
6:2And they who have believing masters, let them not despise them, because they are brethren, but rather do service, because they are faithful, and beloved, and partakers of the benefit. These things teach and exhort.
6:3If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to the wholesome words of our Kyrios Jesus Christos, and to the doctrine, which is according to godliness,
6:4He is puffed up and knows nothing, but dotes about questions and strife of words, of what comes envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,
6:5Perverse disputations of men of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, which think that gain is godliness:from such separate yourself.
6:6But godliness is great gain, if a man be content with that he has.
6:7For we brought nothing into the world, and it is certain, that we can carry nothing out.
6:8Therefore when we have food and clothing, let us with it be content.
6:9For they that will be rich, fall into temptation and snares, and into many foolish and harmful desires, which drown men in perdition and destruction.
6:10For the desire of money is the root of all evil, which while some lusted after, they erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
6:11But you, O man of Theos, flee these things, and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, and meekness.
6:12Fight the good fight of faith: lay hold of eternal life, to what you are also called, and have professed a good profession before many witnesses.
6:13I charge you in the sight of Theos, who quickens all things, and before Jesus Christos, who under Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession,
6:14That you keep this commandment without spot, and unrebukable, until the appearing of our Kyrios Jesus Christos,
6:15Which in due time he shall show, that is blessed and Prince only, the King of Kings and Kyrios of Lords,
6:16Who only has immortality, and dwells in the light that none can attain to, whom never man saw, neither can see, to whom be honor and power everlasting, Amen.
6:17Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not high minded, and that they trust not in uncertain riches, but in the living Theos, (which gives us abundantly, all things to enjoy)
6:18That they do good, and be rich in good works, and ready to distribute, and communicate,
6:19Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may obtain eternal life.
6:20O Timothy, keep that which is committed to you,and avoid profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of knowledge falsely so called,
6:21Which while some profess, they have erred concerning the faith. Grace be with you, Amen. The first Epistle to Timothy, written from Laodicea, which is the chief city of Phrygia Pacaciana.
