2 Thessalonians
Chapter 1
1:1Paul and Silvanus, and Timothy, to the Church of the Thessalonians, which is in Theos our Father, and in the Kyrios Jesus Christos:
1:2Grace be with you,and peace from Theos our Father, and from the Kyrios Jesus Christos.
1:3We ought to thank Theos always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of every one of you toward another, abounds,
1:4So that we ourselves rejoice of you in the Churches of Theos, because of your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that you suffer,
1:5Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of Theos, that you may be counted worthy of the kingdom of Theos, for the which you also suffer.
1:6For it is a righteous thing with Theos, to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you,
1:7And to you which are troubled, rest with us, when the Kyrios Jesus shall show himself from heaven with his mighty Angels,
1:8In flaming fire, rendering vengeance to them, that do not know Theos, and which obey not to the Gospel of our Kyrios Jesus Christos,
1:9Which shall suffer the punishment of everlasting perdition, from the presence of the Kyrios, and from the glory of his power,
1:10When he shall come to be glorified in his Saints, and to be made marvelous in all them that believe ( because our testimony toward you was believed) in that day.
1:11Therefore, we also pray always for you, that our Theos may make you worthy of this calling, and fulfill all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power,
1:12That the Name of our Kyrios Jesus Christos may be glorified in you,and you in him, according to the grace of our Theos, and of the Kyrios Jesus Christos.
Chapter 2
2:1Now we ask you, brethren, by the coming of our Kyrios Jesus Christos, and by our assembling to him,
2:2That you be not suddenly moved from your mind, nor troubled neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter, as it were from us, as though the day of Christos were at hand.
2:3Let no man deceive you by any means:for that day shall not come, except there come a departing first, and that that man of sin be disclosed, even the son of perdition,
2:4Which is an adversary, and exalts himself against all that is called Theos, or that is worshiped:so that he does sit as Theos in the Temple of Theos, showing himself that he is Theos.
2:5Remember you not, that when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
2:6And now you know what withholds that he might be revealed in his time.
2:7For the mystery of lawlessness does already work:only he who now withholds, shall let till he be taken out of the way.
2:8And then shall that wicked man be revealed, whom the Kyrios shall consume with the Spirit of his mouth, and shall abolish with the brightness of his coming,
2:9Even him whose coming is by the effectual working of Satanas, with all power, and signs, and lying wonders,
2:10And in all deceivableness of unrighteousness, among them that perish, because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
2:11And therefore Theos shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe lies,
2:12That all they might be damned which believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
2:13But we ought to give thanks always to Theos for you, brethren beloved of the Kyrios, because that Theos has from the beginning chosen you to salvation, through sanctification of the Spirit, and the faith of truth,
2:14To what he called you by our Gospel, to obtain the glory of our Kyrios Jesus Christos.
2:15Therefore, brethren, stand fast and keep the instructions, which you have been taught, either by word, or by our Epistle.
2:16Now the same Jesus Christos our Kyrios;and our Theos even the Father who has loved us,and has given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace,
2:17Comfort your hearts, and establish you in every word and good work.
Chapter 3
3:1Furthermore, brethren, pray for us,that the word of the Kyrios may have free passage and be glorified, even as it is with you,
3:2And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and evil men:for all men have not faith.
3:3But the Kyrios is faithful, which will establish you,and keep you from evil.
3:4And we are persuaded of you through the Kyrios, that you both do,and will do the things which we instruct you in.
3:5And the Kyrios guide your hearts to the love of Theos, and the waiting for of Christos.
3:6We warn you, brethren, in the Name of our Kyrios Jesus Christos, that you withdraw yourselves from every brother that walks inordinately, and not after the instruction which he received from us.
3:7For you yourselves know, how you ought to follow us:for we behaved not ourselves inordinately among you,
3:8Neither took we bread from any man without payment:but we worked with labor and hardship night and day, because we would not be chargeable to any of you.
3:9Not because we have not authority, but that we might make ourselves an example to you to follow us.
3:10For even when we were with you, this we warned you of,that if there were any, which would not work, that he should not eat.
3:11For we hear, that there are some which walk among you inordinately, and work not at all,but are busy bodies.
3:12Therefore them that are such, we warn and exhort by our Kyrios Jesus Christos, that they work with quietness, and eat their own bread.
3:13And you, brethren, be not weary in well-doing.
3:14If any man obey not this our saying in this letter, note him,and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed:
3:15Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.
3:16Now the Kyrios himself of peace give you peace always by all means. The Kyrios be with you all.
3:17The salutation of me Paul, with my own hand, which is the token in every Epistle:so I write,
3:18The grace of our Kyrios Jesus Christos be with you all, Amen. The second Epistle to the Thessalonians, written from Athens.
